MARTA TO TEMPORARILY STOP RAIL SERVICE TO INDIAN CREEK STATION FOR BRIDGE INSTALLATION
Trains Will Not Service Indian Creek Rail Station Dec. 8-9

ATLANTA – The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) will temporarily stop rail service to Indian Creek Station on the Blue Line from Dec. 8-9, 2024, for the installation of a new pedestrian bridge over the tracks, making Kensington Station the temporary end of the Blue Line. The new bridge will improve pedestrian and bike access on the north side of the station and connect to a planned trail network.

The pedestrian bridge installation is part of the larger Indian Creek Station Rehabilitation Project designed to improve safety, accessibility, and overall customer experience. The project also includes heavy cleaning, new flooring, renovation of the western plaza, bus loop improvements and fare gate enhancements.

On Sunday Dec. 8 and Monday, Dec. 9, bus shuttles will run between Indian Creek and Kensington Stations. Bus routes serving Indian Creek will run as scheduled and parking at the station remains open, although drivers are encouraged to park at Kensington that weekend, if possible.
